Joining the CSS

Joining the CSS is simple. Just print the application form from this web site and complete it. Enclose the $5.00 (Cdn) fee which helps to covet the costs of stationery and postage and send it in the mail.

Once the form it received, your Bronze task sheet will be mailed to you. You can then start completing the tasks. Remember that tasks need to be witnessed. However, the witness does not have to be a CSS member. It can be anyone who is willing to do the job! Your granny will do if you can talk her into it!

Once the Bronze task sheet is complete, return it with the required $5.00 fee. Your Bronze pin will be sent to you along with a CSS decal and the task sheet for the next level. You then commence the tasks for the next level and so it goes. A word of warning however! You will probably notice a significant increase in your flying abilities and your interest in RC soaring. Don't be alarmed. The condition, although often permanent, is not physically harmful. In fact, the frequent doses of fresh air and exercise have been noted to produce an alarming increase in many sailplane fliers overall state of health and ability to tolerate the stresses and strains of everyday life. Just remember to wear a hat and slap on the sun screen!
